Poker Boy and ultimately the Poker Boy Universe came into being in the late 1980s when I was challenged to write a holiday story. Turns out, when Poker Boy was single and just a budding superhero, he loved to play in poker tournaments on Christmas Eve. 

Turns out I loved writing more and more stories about Poker Boy, a superhero in the world of poker.

And with each story, Poker Boy gained more powers, more teammates, and even saved the world a few dozen times. 

Every aspect or profession or major thing in the world has a god looking out over it, and also superheroes working for those gods. And everything is run by Laverne, Lady Luck herself. 

As time went on, the Poker Boy Universe expanded to include the Ghost Agents such as Marble Grant, and other superheroes such as Sky Tate in the world of detectives and Pahket Jones in the world of cats. Poker Boy appears in their stories all the time. 

I sure hope you enjoy reading about the wild adventures of Poker Boy and his team as much as I do writing them.
